About the event
Have you ever wondered why some herbs cool you down while others warm you up, or why certain teas soothe the gut while others spark your energy?
Herbal energetics is the traditional art and science of understanding how herbs feel and function in the body.
In this experiential 1-hour class, we’ll explore the foundational principles of herbal energetics—including hot vs. cold, dry vs. moist, and tense vs. relaxed—using taste, touch, and real-world examples. You’ll learn how to match plant energetics to individual constitutions, discover how different cultural systems approach energetics (Ayurveda, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Western herbalism), and practice tuning into your own herbal allies through guided sensory exploration.
Whether you're a budding herbalist or simply curious about how to use herbs more intuitively and effectively, this class offers a fun and informative introduction to plant energetics that will deepen your connection to herbal medicine.
