About the event
Sacred Saplings: The Importance of Our Forest
In this monthly Sacred Saplings class, children will explore the importance of our forests. We'll talk about the ecology of forests, different types of medicines from trees, and most importantly, how to be forest heroes through conservation! Through storytelling, hands-on learning, and creative play, we’ll discover just how important our forests are!
To bring the lesson to life, students will create their own star garland out of sticks!
This class gently weaves together:
• plant science
• eco-conservation and environmental care
• self-confidence and responsibility
This lesson invites children to reflect on how small acts can lead to big changes!
Recommended for ages: 5-10
No prior herbal knowledge is needed. This class is perfect for children who enjoy hands-on learning, art, nature, and thoughtful conversation. It's also a great way to make new friends!
Sacred Saplings classes are offered by Sacred Spirit Herbals with donations provided by the community. Please donate what you can to keep these classes affordable for all! All materials are provided.🌿
RSVPs are required to ensure we have enough supplies for everyone. Please submit an RSVP (even a $0 donation) for each child participating. Space is limited, so reserve your spot today! This gives us time to prepare the supplies and the space for the class.
