Sacred Saplings: Seeds on a Journey

In this monthly Sacred Saplings class, children will explore the magical journey of seeds. We'll talk about how they travel, rest, and grow into new plants. Through storytelling, hands-on learning, and creative play, we’ll discover that seeds don’t just fall into the ground… they go on adventures first!

Children will learn the four main ways seeds travel in nature and how seeds know when it’s time to wake up and grow. We’ll also talk about what plants need to grow strong and healthy, and how roots begin their work hidden beneath the soil long before leaves appear above ground.

To bring the lesson to life, students will create their own seed bombs using soil, clay, and seeds. This introduces a fun and eco-friendly way to help seeds travel and support pollinators in the spring!

This class gently weaves together:

• plant science

• seasonal awareness

• environmental care

• patience and trust in unseen growth

Perfect for late winter, this lesson invites children to reflect on how small beginnings can grow into something beautiful when given time, warmth, and care.

Recommended for ages: 5+

Includes: hands-on craft, plant science lesson, and take-home seed bombs

No prior herbal knowledge is needed. This class is perfect for children who enjoy hands-on learning, art, nature, and thoughtful conversation. It's also a great way to make new friends!

Sacred Saplings classes are offered by Sacred Spirit Herbals with donations provided by the community. Please donate what you can to keep these classes affordable for all! All materials are provided.🌿

RSVPs are required to ensure we have enough supplies for everyone. Please submit an RSVP (even a $0 donation) for each child participating. Space is limited, so reserve your spot today! This gives us time to prepare the supplies and the space for the class.
